Of Portuguese and Romanian descent, Canadian soprano Cassandra Amorim is a Master of Music graduate of the University of Toronto Opera School.
This winter, Cassandra will be making her debut with Voicebox Opera, portraying Magda in Puccini’s La Rondine. Recently, Cassandra returned to Summer Opera Lyric Theatre to perform the role of Mimì in Puccini’s La Bohème. In Romania, Cassandra portrayed Contessa in Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart with Vienna-Tel-Aviv Vocal Connection. This past spring Cassandra premiered a new work by Canadian composer Justin Lapierre titled One Thousand Shields of Gold.
